Joseph Minion

Joseph "Joe" Minion (born 1957 in Teaneck , New Jersey ) is an American screenwriter and director .

Life

Minion graduated from New York University and Columbia University . In 1984 his screenplay After Hours was optioned by producers Griffin Dunne and Amy Robinson and finally implemented by Martin Scorsese . After it became known that the script was in part a plagiarism of a work by radio presenter Joe Frank , Frank sued and finally achieved a settlement for a sum of unknown amount.

In the years to come, Minion wrote more screenplays before making his directorial debut in 1988 with the action comedy Daddy's Boys produced by Roger Corman . In 1999 Minion made the low-budget film Trafficking .
