Joseph Ott (industrialist)
Joseph Ott (born January 21, 1852 in Lannesdorf ; † March 27, 1902 ) was a German industrialist and smelter from the Saarland.
Life
Ott came from West Germany, like many of his later board colleagues at the time. Nothing is known about his family or his education. Ott was only 50 years old and in his last professional positions he was commercial director of Dillinger Hütte and then for a short time until his death he was also general director of Burbacher Hütte . He had previously worked in the Ruhrort . In Burbach he replaced Rudolf Seebohm , who had died in 1901. His successor a year later was Edmund Weissdorf , who came from Eisenwerk Krämer in St. Ingbert and remained in this position until at least 1911. Seebohm previously held this position for 22 years.
Ott is buried in the Waldfriedhof Burbach , field 18. His wife Mathilde died in 1925.
