Joseph Philippi

Joseph Philippi (born February 7, 1808 in Kaysersberg ; † February 1, 1891 in Molsheim ) was a Catholic clergyman and a member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Philippi completed higher studies in Switzerland and studied theology in the major seminary in Strasbourg . After that he was the parish priest in Molsheim.

From 1874 to 1877 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Alsace-Lorraine 7 (Molsheim, Erstein ). As an independent clerical, he did not join any parliamentary group in the Reichstag.
