Joseph Stephan
Joseph Stephan (* around 1709 in Munich ; † September 17, 1786 ) was a German painter .
Life
The rococo painter Stephan first worked in Frankfurt am Main and, with his landscape and animal painting, is considered a student of Heinrich van Waterschoot (* ?; † 1748), who stayed in Munich around 1744, where Stephan also moved in 1745.
Works
His works can be found in the Burghausen Picture Gallery, the Bavarian National Museum in Munich , the Nymphenburg Palace , the Munich Residence Museum and the Munich City Museum .
