Joseph van der Straeten
Father Joseph van der Straeten (born December 2, 1918 in Ghent , † February 8, 2010 in Brussels ) was a Jesuit Bollandist and as such was concerned with researching the tradition of saints' legends.
Life
Joseph van der Straeten was born on December 2, 1918, the fourth of six children. He lost his parents very early (his mother when he was 5, his father when he was 8). In 1937 he finished the Latin-Greek College of St. Barbara.
