Josip Franjo Domin
Josip Franjo Domin (born January 28, 1754 in Agram ; † January 19, 1819 ibid) was a Croatian-Hungarian physicist, priest and doctor. He is the inventor of electrotherapy .
Domin, who comes from Zagreb, studied physics and theology at the University of Vienna . In Hungary he later became the dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and the rector of the University of Budapest . Today electrotherapy is used, among other things, to treat pain, circulatory disorders, musculoskeletal disorders, paralysis and muscle weakness.
