In 1994 he started his career as a football player with the club Botafogo FR , for which he completed 22 games in 1994 and in 1995 he took part in 23 games without scoring. In 1996 he left the club and signed a contract with the Italian club SSC Napoli . Joubert was involved in 22 games in which he scored four times. In 1997 he signed a contract with the club Gremio Porto Alegre , where he played 14 games and scored three goals. The next year he moved to the Brazilian club Flamengo Rio de Janeiro . There he took part in 19 games and scored six times. At the end of the year he turned his back on the club and in 1998 went to the Flamengo Rio de Janeiro club, where he was under contract for two years. In the first year he completed 19 games, where he scored six times. He was involved in 16 games in 1999 with the same club as in 1998, had a less successful season and could only score one goal. In 2000 he terminated the contract and signed a new one with São Paulo FC , where he only stayed for a year. This year he couldn't make any big improvements either, he was on the lawn 20 times, two of which ended in goal. He signed a new contract with Fluminense FC , played 15 games that year and scored three goals. At the end of the year he ended his activities with the club and moved from Brazil to Japan . For a year he was in Japan, which he was with Consadole Sapporo , played seven games and scored once in the goal.

After a year in Japan he returned to Brazil and spent two years at the club CR Vasco da Gama , where he played 17 games in the first year 2003 and scored twice. A year later, after three goalless games, he canceled his contract with the Brazilian club and returned to the Japanese. From 2004 to 2006 he was active at the Sanfrecce Hiroshima association. In 2004 he played 14 league games and scored three times. He also took part in the Japanese Imperial Cup, where he took part in a goalless game. The next year played 28 games and although he played twice as many games as in 2005, he only managed one goal. At the Kaiser Cup he was in two goalless games. In 2006 he played 13 games but never scored. After three years in Japan, he returned to Brazil and was active in 2007 for the Brasiliense FC club , taking part in seven games which, like 2006, were goalless in Japan. His last season was in 2008 with the club CR Vasco da Gama, where he played four games. As in 2006 and 2007, he did not score a goal.

From 1995 to 1999 he took part in a total of twelve senior international matches with the Brazilian national soccer team, in which he went all goalless.
