- Graeme Hays , Chair, Marine Biology, Swansea University , responsible for Mary's biological contributions, as well as biotelemetry, Mary's turtles, and plankton.
- Mike Boots is Professor of Epidemiology in the Department of Animal and Plant Sciences, University of Sheffield . He deals with animal / plant interactions, population ecology and evolutionary dynamics of nature and humans in epidemics.
- Ken Wilson is Professor of Evolutionary Ecology at the Lancaster Environment Center, Lancaster University UK. His focus is on parasitology and population ecology, as well as researching invertebrates , birds and mammals.
