The Journal of Mammalian Evolution (JME) is a zoological journal that is published as the official journal of the American Society for the Study of Mammalian Evolution . It is also the society's members' magazine.
The magazine has been published since 1993 with the 19th issue in 2012, currently it is published four times a year in March, June, September and December. The magazine is distributed by the publishing house Springer Science + Business Media Netherlands.

The journal sees itself as an interdisciplinary forum for all aspects of mammalian evolution. Accordingly, it contains scientific articles on all aspects of mammalian biology , including a. comparative morphology , molecular biology and genetics , biogeography , reproductive and developmental biology , behavioral biology , taxonomy and phylogenetics , ecology and the methodology for reconstructing the evolution of mammals.
