Jovan Aćimović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Јован Аћимовић , born June 21, 1948 in Belgrade ) is a former Yugoslav football player .

The midfielder , coming in 1964 from the youth division of the OFK Belgrade , played for a year for the OFK's professional team before moving to city rivals FK Crvena zvezda ("Red Star") in 1965 . Between 1965 and 1976 he played a total of 237 league games there and scored 44 goals. He gave a guest appearance at 1. FC Saarbrücken (1976 to 1978) for which he scored a goal in a total of 41 Bundesliga games. He ended his career in 1979 with FK Sinđelić Beograd . With Red Star he won the Yugoslav championship in 1968, 1969, 1970 and 1973.

He made his international debut for the Yugoslav national team on June 8, 1968 against Italy (1: 1) in Rome . His last of 55 international matches (3 goals) he played on June 19, 1976 (European Championship round) against the Netherlands (2: 3) in Zagreb . He took part in both the 1974 World Cup and the 1968 and 1976 European Championships .
