Jovan Arsenic
Jovan Arsenić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Јован Арсенић ; * 1974 in Zrenjanin , Yugoslavia ) is a German film director and screenwriter .
biography
In 2000, Jovan Arsenić, who was trained as a psychologist at the University of Belgrade, began studying audiovisual media with a focus on film directing at the Art Academy for Media in Cologne . He completed this with his thesis Heimkehrer , a feature film, in 2004.
His feature film The Heroes from the Neighborhood , which had its world premiere at the Berlinale in 2008 , opened in German cinemas in August 2009.
Jovan Arsenić lives in Berlin and works as a freelance writer and director.
