Lockne crater

The Lockne Crater is an impact crater that was created by a meteorite impact and is visible from the earth's surface . It is located about 21 kilometers south of the city of Östersund in the Swedish province of Jämtland County .

The diameter of the crater is 7.5 kilometers, its age is estimated to be 455 million years (Upper Ordovician ).

It is believed that the Målingen crater, 16 kilometers away and 700 meters wide, was formed at the same time.
