Juan Arolas
Juan Arolas (born June 22, 1805 in Barcelona , † November 25, 1849 in Valencia ) was a Spanish poet .
Life
Juan Arolas entered the order of the Piarists in Valencia, where he had lived since 1814 , worked there from 1825 to 1842 as a high school teacher of his order, and in 1844 fell ill with a severe brain disease, which he suffered on November 25, 1849, for some time completely mad, succumbed.
His mostly lyrical poems are distinguished by their beautiful form and brilliant imagination. Complete editions of his poetic works appeared in three volumes (Valencia 1860 and 1867), most recently as Poesias de Padre Juan de A. (1879).
