Juan Carlos Arce (writer)

Juan Carlos Arce (* 1958 in Albacete ) is a Spanish writer and lawyer . He writes novels and plays.

Arce, originally a lawyer specializing in community law, worked in the Spanish embassies in Bern and London . After the publication of his first novel Melibea I don't want to be a woman , he devoted himself entirely to writing. In 2002 he received the Fernando Lara Prize for The Colors of War . In 1992 he had been made an honorary citizen of Dallas ; The occasion was his piece Retrato en blanco .
