Juan Introini

Juan Introini (born February 13, 1948 in Montevideo , Uruguay , † July 6, 2013 ) was a Uruguayan writer , literary essayist and university professor .

Introini obtained a humanities degree ( Licenciado en Letras ) from the Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias (FHC) of the Universidad de la República (UdelaR) in Montevideo in 1971 . In 1977 he finished studying literature at the Instituto de Profesores Artigas (IPA). In the following years he received various scholarships, among others from the Italian government and the Instituto Cooperación Iberoamericana (IBI). As early as 1969, he also worked as a research assistant as a university lecturer at the UdelaR. From 1972 to 1992 he worked as a secondary school teacher at both private and public liceos . At the beginning of the 21st century, he also worked as Professor Agregado at the Universidad de la República and as the director of the Philology department of the Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educación (FHCE). Introini wrote the novels El intruso , La llave de plata , La tumba and Enmascarado , among others .
