Judas kiss in Ansacq

The stained glass window depicting the kiss of Judas in the Catholic Church of St-Lucien in Ansacq , a French commune in the Oise department in the Hauts-de-France region , was created in the 16th century. In 1982 the disk was added to the list of protected objects ( Base Palissy ) in France as Monument historique .

The pane in the tracery of window No. 4 is the only surviving fragment of a larger window. It was created in an unknown workshop.

Jesus is shown surrounded by his disciples , with Judas approaching him for a kiss . The kiss was the agreed identification mark for the soldiers sent out to arrest Jesus.
