Judith Seitz Rodin (born September 9, 1944 in Philadelphia ) is an American psychologist and philanthropist .

Life

Rodin comes from a Jewish family. She studied psychology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia (Bachelor of Arts, 1966). Your Ph.D. did it at Columbia University in New York. She then worked at Yale University in New Haven. In 1994 she became the first permanent president of the Ivy League . She was a professor of psychology, medicine and psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Since 2005 she has been the first female president of the Rockefeller Foundation . She is or has served on the Board of Directors of: AMR Corporation , Citigroup , Comcast , Aetna , Electronic Data Systems, and BlackRock . She is third married to Paul R. Verkuil, a law scholar and former CEO of the American Automobile Association , and has one son.
