The Judo Bundesliga 2019 was the 63rd season in the history of the Judo Bundesliga and began on March 16, 2019.

After the Hamburg judo team won the title three times in a row, the record champions TSV Abensberg managed to win the championship again after five years. In the final, the team prevailed against KSV Esslingen with 8: 6. The bronze medals were won by the teams from SUA Witten and UJKC Potsdam .

After the end of the preseason , TSV München Großhadern and the Lower Saxony team from Holle announced the withdrawal of their teams from the Bundesliga. The decisions were made for financial reasons. As a result, a large part of the Großhadern athletes switched to TSV Abensberg, including the national team fighters Maximilian Heyder, Karl-Richard and Johannes Frey.

Before the start of the season, the rift between the Hamburg judo team and its previous investor, Peter Widmann, caused a stir. This then switched to KSV Esslingen. In this context, the top athletes Igor Wandtke , Alexander Wieczerzak , Dimitri Peters and Andre Breithbarth also moved to Esslingen. After three titles in a row, the Hamburg JT could not move into the final round as third in the preliminary round.
