Jula Kerschensteiner

Jula Kerschensteiner (born August 5, 1917 in Munich ; † June 24, 1996 there ) was a German classical philologist .

Jula Kerschensteiner, the daughter of the internist Hermann Kerschensteiner (1873–1937), studied classical philology and philosophy at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich in the 1940s , where she received her doctorate under Franz Dirlmeier in 1942 with a dissertation on Plato and the Orient . From 1941 Kerschensteiner worked as a research assistant at the university. In 1947 she became a lecturer and lecturer, in 1960 she qualified as a professor, and in 1966 she was appointed adjunct professor. In 1982 she retired.
