Yuldash Achunbabaev

Yuldash Achunbabajew ( Russian Юлдаш Ахунбабаев , Uzbek Йўлдош Охунбобоев Yo'ldosh Oxunboboyev ; born July 1 . Jul / 13. July  1885 greg. In Dschoi Bazaar in Margilan ; † 28. February 1943 in Tashkent ) was a Soviet-Uzbek politicians . From 1925 to 1943 he was chairman of the Central Executive Committee or the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic .

Life

Achunbabaev, son of a poor farming family, attended a mekteb (elementary school). Even as a boy he had to work in the cotton fields. In 1916 he took part in the anti-Tsarist uprising in Margilan. Akhunbabaev was arrested and spent two months in prison. From 1918 to 1920 he fought in the Red Army . 1920/1921 he was chairman of the Soviet of the Poor in Margilan. In 1921 he joined the Communist Party of Russia (Bolsheviks) . Achunbabajew actively participated in the struggle against the counter-revolutionary Basmachi part. From 1921 to 1924 he was a member of the Presidium of the Executive Committee of Fergana Oblast .

At the founding congress of the Communist Party of Uzbekistan (Bolsheviks) he was elected to the Central Committee and the Central Committee Office in February 1925 . From February 1925 to July 1938 Achunbabaev was chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Uzbek SSR, then until his death chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Uzbek SSR.

From 1937 he was also a member of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR .

Achunbabaev was awarded the Order of Lenin and the Order of the Red Banner .
