Julia Barth

Julia Barth (born July 8, 1995 in Hamburg-Bergedorf ) is a German politician of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD).

Life

Barth is studying to be a teacher at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, specializing in German, geography and subject teaching. From 2017 to 2019 she worked for the Leuphana University in Lüneburg in the project Future Center for Teacher Education (ZZL). For the same university she is a tutor for the field of education for sustainable development .

Barth is a scholarship holder of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung and spent a semester abroad in Posen (Poland) in 2019 at the Adam Mickiewicz University .

politics

Barth joined the SPD at the age of 15 . In 2014 she was the youngest candidate for the district assembly election. Since 2019 she has been deputy chairwoman of Jusos Hamburg and the SPD city center. Her political focus is on education and digitization. On February 23, 2020, she succeeded in entering the Hamburg citizenship as a member of the Hamburg parliamentary elections .
