Julia Ciupka

Julia Ciupka , married Sonntag (born November 1, 1991 in Mönchengladbach ) is a German hockey goalkeeper .

Julia Ciupka made her debut in the German U-16 national youth team on April 6, 2007 against the Netherlands (final score: 1: 2) in St. Cugat (Spain). In 2009 she finished 2nd at the U18 European Championships in Nivelles (Belgium). She played her first international match on January 22, 2016 at the European Indoor Championships in Minsk (Belarus), where Germany, under coach Aditya Pasarakonda, finished fourth.

Ciupka plays like Pia Oldhafer for the KTHC Rot-Weiß Köln in the German women's hockey league. Before that she played for the RTHC Bayer Leverkusen and the Gladbacher HTC . It is sponsored by the hockey brand TK and, like Nike Lorenz and Niklas Wellen, is part of the #teamtk .

Ciupka studied dentistry at the University of Witten / Herdecke from 2011 to 2016 and graduated with the state examination. She is currently working as a dentist in Mönchengladbach.
