Julia Ocker
Julia Ocker (born December 29, 1982 in Pforzheim ) is a German animation director , designer and author .
Life
After graduating from high school, Julia Ocker studied visual communication at the Pforzheim University from 2003 to 2005 , followed by a degree in animation at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy . For her diploma, she produced the short film Kellerkind , for which she was awarded the First Steps film prize in 2012. In 2013 she created the episode Zebra for the SWR children's show Ich kenne ein Tier , from which the animated series Animanimals developed, for which Julia Ocker was awarded the Grimme Prize in 2019 .

Awards (selection)
Ockers Diplomfim Kellerkind has been performed and awarded at numerous international festivals. The German film and media rating awarded it the rating “Particularly valuable”. The episode Zebra of the Animanimals series was also honored with this award.
