Julia Wenzl (born February 3, 1990 in Giessen ) is a former German handball player .

Julia Wenzl played for TV Hüttenberg and TV Lützellinden in her youth. In 2005 she moved to the handball boarding school of the Thuringian HC . With the club she was German B youth champion in 2006 and 2007. Furthermore, Wenzl made her debut in the Bundesliga in the jersey of the women's team from THC. From 2007 she played for VfL Oldenburg , with which she won the DHB Cup and the Challenge Cup . For the 2009/10 season Wenzl wanted to switch to the Rhein-Main bees , but she stayed in Oldenburg because the Sulzbacher had filed for bankruptcy. After the 2017/18 season, she ended her career.

Julia Wenzl was part of the extended squad of the German national team . She previously played in the DHB junior national team.

Since the 2019/20 season, Wenzl has been part of the coaching team for the second team at VfL Oldenburg.
