Julian Esteban (born September 16, 1986 in Geneva ) is a former Swiss football player with Spanish roots.

He began his career in the youth team of the amateur club FC City . In 1997, at the age of ten, he joined Servette FC Genève's youth . From January 2005 he was part of the professional squad; for the 2005/06 season he made the leap to the A team. There he scored 22 goals in his first 26 league games in the third division first division and played a key role in advancing to the Challenge League . In January 2007 he moved to the French first division club Stade Rennes for an estimated fee of two million euros . He received a contract there until June 2011.

His first appearance in Ligue 1 had Esteban on March 4, 2007, when he came on in the 0-1 defeat in Auxerre in the 86th minute for Erik Edman . He scored his first goal for Rennes on October 20, 2007 in the home game against UC Le Mans . After being substituted on in the 74th minute, he scored 3-0 in the second minute of stoppage time.

For the 2009/10 season he returned to Geneva on loan to Servette. In the summer of 2010, he prematurely terminated his contract with Stade Rennes and decided to return to Servette. In the 2010/11 season, Esteban contributed nine league goals for promotion to the Axpo Super League .

Julian Esteban played ten games for the U-21 team of the Swiss national football team until August 2008. He scored five goals.

On January 8, 2013, Julian Esteban announced that he would end his career due to injuries.
