Julian Grundt (born June 21, 1988 in Heide ) is a former German soccer player who was used in midfield .

career

Grundt began playing football at Heider SV in Holstein . From there he moved to Werder Bremen's youth department in 2004 . Here he became part of the reserve squad in 2007 and initially played in the Regionalliga Nord . With his team he qualified for the newly created 3rd league and then made his professional debut on matchday 1 of the 2008/09 season , in the away game at SpVgg Unterhaching . In August 2008, however, he suffered a torn cruciate ligament , which meant that he had to take several months off. When he had just recovered from it, the same fate befell him again in March 2009. As a result, he ended his active career after the 2009/10 season.
