Julian Kellerer

Julian Kellerer (born August 22, 1989 in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee ) is an Austrian athlete.

Life

During his primary school days he became interested in athletics and joined the Völkermarkt athletics club VST-Laas . It didn't take long before the long jump emerged as his favorite discipline. In 2015 he moved to the Klagenfurt club LAC . His goal is to qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro .

Doping ban

On July 15, 2019, Kellerer was suspended at the request of the National Anti-Doping Agency , because the prohibited steroid substances androsterone and etiocholanone were detected in a doping test on February 17 in the A sample . Kellerer denies the allegation of unauthorized doping and explains the positive sample with the drug intake due to an immunodeficiency and an infection. On December 12, 2019, the Austrian Anti-Doping Legal Commission announced that Kellerer would be banned from participating in sports events of all kinds, in particular competitions, for a period of 2 years until July 14, 2021. On the occasion of an "In-Competition" (ICC) control on February 17, 2019, in the course of the Austrian State Indoor Championships in the Ferry Dusika Stadium in Vienna, prohibited substances were found which the latter consumed in a grossly negligent manner. It is blocked until July 14, 2021.
