Julian Voronovsky

Julian Voronowskyj MSU ( Ukrainian Юліан Вороновський ; born May 5, 1936 in Humnyska , Lwów Voivodeship , Poland ; † February 28, 2013 in Lemberg , Ukraine ) was Bishop of the Greek Catholic eparchy Sambir-Drohobytsch in Ukraine.

Life

Julian Voronowskyj joined the religious order of the student orders . The auxiliary bishop Vasyl Velytschkowskyj CSsR , who was later beatified , consecrated him as a priest on October 27, 1968 . Volodymyr Sternjuk CSsR donated him episcopal ordination on September 30, 1986 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Lemberg and titular bishop of Deultum on January 16, 1991 . On March 30, 1994 he was appointed Bishop of Sambir - Drohobych .

On October 27, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
