Juliane Caspar

Juliane Caspar (* 1970 in Bochum ) is a German gastronomy journalist. From 2008 to the beginning of 2017 she was in charge of the French-language edition of the Michelin Guide .

Life

After graduating from high school, Juliane Caspar went to Italy as an au pair and completed an apprenticeship as a hotel manager at the five-star Colombi Hotel in Freiburg im Breisgau , which is one of the Leading Hotels of the World . She gained years of experience abroad in top international gastronomy, including in Italy, England and South Africa. From 2002 she worked as a tester for the German-language edition of the Michelin Guide based in Karlsruhe. In 2004 she was appointed head of the editorial team for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In December 2008 Caspar became the first woman and the first non-French to be editor -in- chief of the Michelin Guide France .
