Life

Weick came to the stage as a child. In 1824 she was engaged in Grätz and played with unmistakable talents roles such as Ida in The Last Means by Johanna Franul von Weißenthurn , Die kleine Zigeunerin by August von Kotzebue etc. She stayed with the director Johann August Stöger in Grätz, Pressburg and Trieste until 1829 when she accepted an engagement at the Theater an der Wien after she had previously performed with applause in Pest and at the Burgtheater . In 1830 she started a four-year engagement in Pest. In 1833 she successfully made guest appearances in Prague and Berlin at the Königstädter Theater and then took up another engagement at the Theater an der Wien. She was involved in Mannheim with her husband Ludwig Hausmann (married in 1838) from 1838 to 1849 and was widely regarded as an excellent representative of lively amateur roles, particularly capable of this subject thanks to her talent and a charming personality. She and her husband withdrew from the theater entirely in 1849.

Her daughter was the actress Marie Dahn-Hausmann .
