Julieta Venegas (born November 24, 1970 in Tijuana , Baja California , Mexico ) is a Mexican singer-songwriter .
Life
Venegas grew up in Tijuana , Baja California . Her twin sister Yvonne is a photographer. Venegas began to be interested in music at the age of eight and was a member of various bands, including Tijuana No! before embarking on a solo career. In addition to singing, composing and writing her own songs, she plays some instruments, including a. acoustic guitar, accordion and keyboard. In 2004 she won the Latin Grammy for Best Vocal Rock Album Sí .
