Julio Alak

Julio César Alak (born January 9, 1958 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine politician .

Life

Alak studied law at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata . In 1984 he became a member of the Partido Justicialista . From December 10, 1991 to December 10, 2007, Alak was mayor of La Plata, succeeding Pablo Pinto . He was succeeded in office by Pablo Bruera . Since July 8, 2009, Alak has succeeded Aníbal Fernández in the government of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner as Minister of Justice in Argentina. He is married and has three children.
