Julio Martín Herrera Velutini (born December 15, 1971 in Caracas ) is an international banker .

Beginnings and training

He was educated and trained at the American School in England ( United Kingdom ), La Scuola Americana in Svizzera ( Switzerland ) and the Universidad Central de Venezuela , graduating in 1990. With over 16 years of banking experience, Julio Herrera Velutini belongs to a generation of bankers who formed in the late 1980s and early 1990s in the circle of the Bolsa de Valores de Caracas CA (Caracas Stock Exchange) of the Banco Central de Venezuela (Central Bank of Venezuela).

origin

Since the late 19th century, the Velutini family had a major influence on Venezuelan banking with the establishment of Banco Caracas in 1980 . His great-grandfather Julio César Velutini Couturier was chairman of the Banco Caracas until 1930 . The later generations held the presidency or were senior executives for over 100 years until it was sold in 1998.

Banking career

In the early 1990s he began working on the Caracas Stock Exchange for Multinvest Casa de Bolsa , a brokerage company, of which he was a board member until 1998. In the same year he became chairman of the board of Inversiones Transbanca , a ( holding company that emerged from the sale of Banco Caracas ), and became a major shareholder and general manager of companies such as Kia Motors Venezuela , BMW Venezuela , BBO Financial Services , Transporte de Valores Bancarios de Venezuela ( Secured Money Transport Company ), Bolívar Banco Universal , Banco Activo Banco Comercial and the Banco Desarrollo del Microempresario .

In 2006, Julio Herrera Velutini, together with the board of directors of Inversiones Transbanca and its partners, Jose Herrera Velutini and Bélen Clarisa Velutini, took over the companies Caracas Caja de Bolsa , IBG Trading , Banco Real and Banreal International Bank , thereby establishing the original ownership of The Velutini family again.

From early 2007 to February 2009, he served as CEO of Banco Real , as well as Banreal Holding , which was later sold. In the same year, the Banco National de Credito (BNC) was bought. That same year he purchases Banco Nacional de Crédito (BNC)

In late 2008 he founded Bancredito International Bank, Corp. , Bancredito Foundation and Bancredito Financial Services. Financial institutions in which he is present as a board member.
