Julius Albert Rasch (* 1801 in Naumburg (Saale) ; † 1882 ) had been a court clerk in Düben and co-founder of the Bad Düben spa gardens since 1831 .

Life

Julius Albert Rasch was born in Naumburg (Saale) in 1801 . On May 18, 1826 quickly became the Oberlandesgerichtsauscultator the clerk at the Naumburg Court appointed and on 14 February 1831 court bailiff and thus took the place of the previous court bailiff Neußmann in Duben . On May 24, 1831, Julius Albert Rasch married his wife Reinhilde Auguste Rasch, nee Hunger, in the Wenzelskirche .

Together with the chief forester Friedrich Karl Theodor Hartig , he founded the Bad Düben spa park in 1846 . With like-minded people he set up a foundation and a soup kitchen for poor, sick and frail residents. He also tried to set up a training school. Through donations from citizens he got the necessary start-up capital to open a "child custody facility" , the first kindergarten in Düben . First from July to October and later in 1877, children between the ages of 2 and 5 were supervised and fed from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Rapidly died in 1882.

Honors

  • 1852 was quickly with the awarding of honorary citizen of the city Duben honored
  • In 1887 the Hartig-Rasch memorial was erected in honor of the park founders
