Julius Bien
Julius Bien (born September 27, 1826 in Naumburg / Hessen , † December 21, 1909 in Manhattan , New York ) was an important American lithographer of German-Jewish origin and long-time president of B'nai B'rith .
He studied at the Kunsthochschule Kassel . He fled to New York in 1848 , where he successfully built a prestigious and often award-winning lithographic workshop.
From 1854 to 1857 and from 1868 to 1900 he was the president of the B'nai B'rith and made significant contributions to its internationalization.
