Julius Bräucker

Julius Bräucker (born March 7, 1872 in Iserlohn ; † March 5, 1942 there ) was a German social democratic politician.

Life

Bräucker was a trained typesetter , but also worked as a factory worker, metal polisher and belt maker . From 1902 to 1910 he was a grocer. At times he was also a reporter for the Lüdenscheider Volksstimme. From 1910 to 1912 Bräucker was an employee of the AOK Iserlohn. Then he was again a reporter for the Volksstimme until 1914, at the same time he was branch manager and travel agent of the Iserlohn cooperative printing company. After that, Bräucker was deputy managing director of the AOK until 1918.

From 1918, Bräucker was a member of the board of the workers 'and soldiers' council in Iserlohn and in December 1918 took part in the first Reichsrätekongress. From 1919 he worked in the city administration. From city secretary he rose to head of the labor and professional office with the rank of government councilor. With the beginning of the National Socialist era , he lost this position.

Apart from his time as an employee, Bräucker was a member of the board of the AOK Iserlohn from 1904 to 1933. Between 1907 and 1912, 1917 and 1920 and from 1924 to 1928 he was a member of the city council. At times he was also chairman of the SPD in the city and district of Iserlohn.

Bräucker was a member of the Prussian state parliament from 1921 to 1932 .

Since 1897 Julius Bräucker was with Anna, geb. vom Braucke, married.
