Julius Decker (born September 5, 1926 in Montabaur ; † May 8, 2013 there ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

Julius Decker attended elementary school, agricultural school and did an agricultural work and agricultural apprenticeship. From 1943 to 1945 he did military service (Waffen-SS) and was a prisoner of war until 1946. After the war he undertook vocational retraining, passed the commercial assistant examination and became a commercial clerk. In 1955 he became an administrative clerk, district chief inspector and head of the school department at the Montabaur district office, senior district councilor and head of the state department at the Montabaur district office, with a municipal diploma as part-time lecturer at the Koblenz administrative school and examiner at the Mayen administrative college.

From 1940 to 1943 he was a member of the Hitler Youth . The purge notice of the Montabaur investigative committee of March 19, 1949 identified him as a follower . The verdict, which was associated with a fine of 20 DM, was changed on August 8, 1949 by the Montabaur verdict to not guilty.

In 1949 he became head of the Junge Union (JU) Montabaur and, in 1951, district chairman of the JU Unterwesterwald. From 1953 to 1963 he was district chairman of the JU Montabaur. He was chairman, later honorary chairman of the JU Westerwald. In terms of local politics, he had been a member of the Montabaur city council since 1952, parliamentary group leader and local chairman of the CDU.

He was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament from October 19, 1965 (as a replacement for August Hanz ) until May 17, 1967.

In addition, in 1958 he was district chairman of the local political association of the CDU and CSU in Germany (KPV) Unterwesterwald, member of the state board of the KPV, district senior of the Kolping family in the Westerwald district and representative in the state youth council.
