Julius Kainz

Julius Kainz (born June 7, 1935 in Weitersfeld an der Mur ; † September 26, 2016 ) was an Austrian publishing manager.

Julius Kainz began his publishing career in 1958 with the “ Kleine Zeitung ”. He was first advertising manager and publishing director in 1969 until he finally took over the management of the daily newspaper " Die Presse " from 1991 to 2000 . From 1995 to 2005 Kainz was also editor of the "Presse".

In the church, Kainz was involved in numerous voluntary functions such as a member of the Catholic Media Association and the Cathedral Board of Trustees, of which he was chairman for many years.
