Julius Müller (athlete, 1903)
Julius Müller (born May 10, 1903 in Rottenburg am Neckar , † April 1, 1984 in Kuchen ) was a German pole vaulter .
Müller belonged to the gymnastics club Cannstatt , later to the gymnastics club Kuchen. He took part in the pole vault at the German Championships in 1928 in Düsseldorf , where he set a new German record on July 14 with a jumped height of 3.82 m, as well as at the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 and in Berlin in 1936 . In Amsterdam he reached ninth place in the finals with a jumped height of 3.65 m. In Berlin he took 17th place with the height of 3.80 m skipped in the final round in the first attempt, after he failed three times at the next height of 4.00 m.
At German championships he won the title five times (1928, 1932, 1935, 1936 and 1937), was twice runner-up and once third.
