Julius Rüb

Julius Rüb (born September 17, 1886 in Hütschenhausen , † December 27, 1968 in Landstuhl ) was a German farmer and politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

Rüb was born the son of a farmer. After attending the district arable farming school in Kaiserslautern , he worked in his parents' business, which he took over in 1911 after having worked as a student on various agricultural estates from 1908. He then worked as an independent farmer in Hütschenhausen until 1948 .

MP

Rüb was a member of the Advisory State Assembly of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate in 1946/47 and was then elected to the Rhineland-Palatinate Landtag , of which he was a member until 1959.

Public offices

Rüb served as mayor of the community of Hütschenhausen from 1920 to 1933 and again from 1945 .

Honor

The state of Rhineland-Palatinate honored him with the award of the Freiherr vom Stein plaque .
