Julius Ukrainczyk

Julius Ukrainczyk (* 1911 in Warsaw , † January 25, 1978 in Paris ) was a Polish football official and mediator of football matches in the post-war period.

Ukrainczyk first studied at the Technical University in Brno , but then became a sports journalist . In 1945 he was in charge of a Polish military team in Switzerland. On this occasion he left for Paris, where he opened an office as a games agent. "Ucki" mediated u. a. 5000 major friendlies, always with the clubs themselves being his contractual partners. Julius Ukrainczyk never dealt with or brokered any players. He is considered one of the pioneers in the international gaming brokerage business. Together with Gabriel Hanot he initiated the UEFA national championship cup . He also owned a horse riding stable.
