Julius von Freyberg-Eisenberg

Baron Julius Max von Freyberg-Eisenberg (born September 9, 1832 in Munich ; † September 30, 1912 ibid) was a German district director and district president in the realm of Alsace-Lorraine .

Julius Freiherr von Freyberg-Eisenberg is a descendant of a lineage of the Swabian noble family von Freyberg .

Career

Julius took up his post on January 1, 1871, as acting general secretary of the Lower Rhine prefecture . He then held office as district director for the Saarburg district (1872–1876). For the city ​​and district of Metz he worked as mayor of the city of Metz and in personal union as district director for the district from 1876 to 1880.

As district president he worked in the district of Unterelsaß in the realm of Alsace-Lorraine (1889–1898). On June 23, 1898 he was appointed the first President of the Imperial Council of Alsace-Lorraine .

Julius married Emma Koch Edle von Sternfeld (born May 3, 1844). They had two children together.
