Jung Chang

Jung Chang ( Chinese  張 戎  /  张 戎 , Pinyin Zhāng Róng ; born March 25, 1952 in Yibin ) is a Chinese-born British writer .

With her autobiography Wild Swans , which has sold over 10 million times , she achieved worldwide fame. In June 2005 a biography of Mao Zedong , which she had written together with her husband Jon Halliday , was published , which was highly controversial among historians and sinologists . Their works are banned in the People's Republic of China .
