Jung Jae-sung ( Korean 정재성 ; born August 25, 1982 in Jeonju , Jeollabuk-do , South Korea ; † March 9, 2018 ) was a South Korean badminton player .

Career

Jung Jae-sung won the Thailand Open in 2005 with Lee Jae-jin and in 2006 with Lee Yong-dae .

Jung Jae-sung took part in the 2008 Summer Olympics in men's doubles with Lee Yong-dae. However, they were surprisingly eliminated in the first round.

After winning the bronze medal at the 2012 Olympics with Lee Yong-dae, he retired from his career.

Jung Jae-sung died of a heart attack at the age of 35 ; he is said to have suffered from cardiac arrhythmias for three years before his death .
