Jungnokwon (also Juknokwon ) is a bamboo forest in Damyang ( South Jeolla , South Korea ). The bamboo forest covers an area of ​​31 hectares and was opened in March 2003 as a local recreation area and tourist attraction. There are eight paths to follow in the forest. The Siga-Munhwachon, a recreated village, is directly connected to the forest, in which the historical culture of Damyang can be experienced.

In the forest there is a café in the Lee Lee-nam Media Art Center that offers , among other things, bamboo leaf ice cream . There are also a few restaurants near the forest for tteok-galbi , a specialty of the region made from grilled minced meat from the cross rib of beef .

The bamboo forest is a popular tourist destination. Parts of the film Ghosts of War (2004) were shot here. The bamboo forest is also the destination of popular TV shows and the location of other K-dramas .
