Junji Nishizawa ( Japanese 西澤 淳 二 , Nishizawa Junji ; born May 10, 1974 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Nishizawa learned to play football in the Verdy Kawasaki youth team . He signed his first contract with Verdy Kawasaki in 1993 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . With the club he became Japanese champions in 1993 and 1994 . For the club, he completed 27 first division games. In 1997 he moved to the league competitor Shimizu S-Pulse . In 1999 he was runner-up in the J1 League with the club. For the club, he completed 55 first division games. In 2000 he moved to league rivals Kawasaki Frontale . In 2000 he reached the final of the J.League Cup . For the club he completed 19 first division games. In 2001 he moved to league rivals Nagoya Grampus Eight . In September 2002 he moved to league rivals Kashima Antlers . With the club he became Japanese champion in 2002 . In 2003 he moved to the second division Consadole Sapporo .
