Juozas Augutis
Juozas Augutis (born September 5, 1955 in Kaliekiai , Utena district ) is a Lithuanian mathematician and professor , rector of the Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas .
Life
After graduating from secondary school, Juozas Augutis graduated from Vilniaus universitetas in 1978 . In 1986 he received his PhD in mathematics . On February 11, 2003, he completed his habilitation on the subject of "Risk assessment and management of dangerous energy objects using integrated methods" (lit. Pavojingų energetikos objektų rizikos vertinimas ir valdymas integruotais metodais ) at the Research Institute of the Energy Industry in Lithuania ( Lietuvos energetikos institutas ). From 1986 to 1991 he taught at the Kauno politechnikos institutas and from 1990 at the Kauno technologijos universitetas , from 1988 as a lecturer. From 1991 he taught as a lecturer and from 2003 as professor at the Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas in Kaunas . Since June 2015 he has headed the VDU as Rector.
