Juozas Kajeckas

Juozas Kajeckas (born June 17, 1897 in Shenandoah (Pennsylvania) , † March 2, 1978 in Washington, DC ) was a Lithuanian lawyer and diplomat .

Life

In 1909 Kajeckas came to Lithuania . He graduated from the Kiduliai School near Šakiai and in 1927 studied finance and administration at the University of Montpellier in France . In 1928 he graduated from law and became a licentiate in law . In 1929 he graduated from the Institut d'études politiques de Paris . From 1929 he worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania as a consultant and from 1938 as a consultant. From 1930 to 1935 he worked in the Lithuanian legation in the United Kingdom as secretary, consul general and then as envoy . After that he lived in the USA.

Kajeckas published articles in "Social Science", " Baltic Review " and "Annexation of the Baltic States".
