Juri Georgijewitsch Kondakow ( Russian Юрий Георгиевич Кондаков ; born November 24, 1951 in Lesnoi , Sverdlovsk Oblast ) is a former speed skater who competed for the Soviet Union.

In 1972 Kondakov won the Junior World Championship in all-around . In the following years he won several national championship titles: 1973 over 1500 meters, 1974 over 10,000 meters, 1975 over 1500 meters, 5000 meters and in all-around. In his run of 5000 meters, Kondakov set a new world record over this distance with 7: 08.92 minutes. Also in 1975 he won bronze at the all- around world championships in the great four-way fight . In 1976 he qualified for the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck . There he won the silver medal over 1500 meters. Two years later, Kondakov reached the all- around European championship , he was able to win the race over 1500 meters and took sixth place in the all- around event . His last national title won Kondakov in 1980 over 1500 meters, which he qualified for the Olympic Winter Games in Lake Placid . There he reached fifth place over 1500 meters.
