Yuri Ivanovich Blinow ( Russian Юрий Иванович Блинов ; born January 13, 1949 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player .
Career
During his career the striker played for HK CSKA Moscow . In total, he scored 119 goals in 236 games in the Soviet league . He was appointed to the Soviet national ice hockey team at an early age . On December 17, 1971 he was in the Izvestia Cup against Finland for the first time for the Sbornaja on the ice, where he also scored his first international goal. His international career was crowned with a gold medal at the 1972 Winter Olympics . For the national team, he scored 23 goals in 37 international matches. At the Ice Hockey World Championships in 1972 he was second with his team and he took part in the 1972 Summit Series . Also in 1972 he was inducted into the " Russian Hockey Hall of Fame ". On December 17, 1972, he played his last international match.
